Our Pilates Team
Damy Redmond
Pilates Instructor
After a childhood spent in competitive gymnastics, the natural progression for Damy was a career in fitness. But after years working as a personal trainer and exercise instructor, an overwhelming interest in how movement can heal the body led him to the Pilates world while retraining as a Physical Therapist.
My Pilates style is fitness-focused with some gymnastics flavour thrown in. Designed to hit every muscle to build strength and stamina. We will sweat, and we’ll laugh while we do.
Marta Lacava
Pilates Instructor
Full of life and energy from a very young age, Marta found Pilates after a critical personal moment in her life in 2009 and because of back pain started practising Pilates by medical order.
Marta felt very inspired by the method: the pains were gone and her body had changed. She found her true passion: a smart and respectful system to express herself. She was, once again, the energetic and happy person that she had always been but she had forgotten.
Marta’s full professional training was carried out at the Michael King Pilates Academy. Since then she practices and teaches the method with joy and satisfaction focusing on the principles of Pilates and training the body with functionality for injury prevention.
She also co-owns Staff VP Pilates in Buenos Aires, Argentina and came to Dublin 2 to develop her career internationally. Pilates is Marta’s passion: it helps her keep her body healthy and young.

Lorna O’Brien

Lorna found the reformer through a chronic debilitating injury. “In my very first class, I learnt more about my own body, imbalances & injuries than I had the previous 10 years. With consistent classes, I soon became stronger, more flexible & pain-free!”
Lorna completed her teacher training with Stott Pilates. Expect an energetic, challenging but fun class.
She says “I like my clients to leave with a smile on their face & a sense they’ve achieved something great within themselves!”

She is anatomy-obsessed and teaches how to activate our cores, breathe in the right way, align our shoulder over our hips and over our knees with a respect for the classical Joseph Pilates movements.
When she’s not teaching or listening to her favourite tunes in her car with her three kids, she’s walking her dog or trying out the latest fitness methods.
Odilla Gilson

Odilla’s career in the corporate world took a backseat when she had her family but fitness was always in her life since an early age and has always been heavily involved with competitive sport.
Through the years, she spent so much time strength-training with Personal Trainers, she decided to have a go at it herself and completed the level 4 Personal Training course.

Camila Caldas
Pilates Instructor
Camila graduated as a Physiotherapist in 2013, and soon after, she pursued a Master's degree in Orthopedic physiotherapy, setting the stage for her journey to become a Pilates Instructor.
The allure of Pilates lies in its unique machines, graceful movements, and the artistic element embedded in the method. Camila's deep-rooted passion for all things art-related found a perfect outlet in Pilates, allowing her to infuse art into her physical therapy sessions.
She firmly believes that Pilates is akin to a physical pension plan, emphasizing the importance of continuing the practice well into old age. Camila wholeheartedly agrees with the visionary mindset of Joseph Pilates, recognizing the significance of taking breaks from the outside world, fostering a connection between the body and mind, and incorporating mindful breathing, particularly in today's fast-paced society.
In her classes, Camila's primary objective is to empower her clients, helping them become stronger and move more efficiently. Her classes are a delightful blend of enjoyable moments and incredibly functional, powerful movements that have a profound impact on her clients' lives and overall well-being. She is dedicated to ensuring that the positive effects of her classes extend far beyond the studio, enriching her clients' lives even outside the confines of the Pilates sessions.

Julie Doran
Pilates Instructor
My career in the corporate world took a backseat when I had a family and moved to Wicklow, but fitness has always been in my life since an early age. I first fell in love with Pilates in my late teens becoming an avid client of Platinum and it quickly became a love affair which pushed me to get my qualifications. Pilates changed my body and rectified years of back issues.
What I love about Pilates is that it’s for everyone, all ages , connecting the mind and body through movement. I am passionate about teaching and interacting with clients, making small adjustments so they leave class feeling challenged but working within their limits. I like to bring a fun, positive attitude to help clients achieve their goals, highlighting their strengths with room for improvement. You’ll always feel better after a class - more aligned, balanced and full of energy.
