TOWER PILATES

A fresh challenge and a whole new way to move.

The latest addition to Platinum Collective, our South Dublin Pilates Tower classes offer a whole new way to move your body and can provide a fresh challenge to your Pilates practice, leaving you stronger, more toned and flexible, and by combining both Tower and Reformer Pilates, your whole body will benefit.

While Reformer classes are done lying down, with Tower classes, you’ll work in a more upright position, and your arms, legs and core will be integrated throughout the entire class. Tower classes will teach you a greater understanding of your body as a whole and because you are using springs, pulleys and a moving bar, your balance, stability, and control will be challenged on a much deeper level, requiring you to focus and build strength with each movement.

Tower classes are limited to six people to allow more hands-on teaching. Beginners can start in either Tower or Reformer classes, and we recommend clients incorporate both varieties into their practice for optimal results.

Frequently asked questions

Where should I start, Reformer or Tower?

This is totally up to you – there is no right place to start. The Reformer classes can feel a little less intimidating but don’t be fooled – both Pilates classes will give you a great movement experience.

With Tower classes, you’ll be more upright, and with Reformer classes, you’ll lay down more like in a traditional mat Pilates class. We advise you try both to see what works for you.

Is it suitable while pregnant?

None of our regular group classes are suitable during pregnancy, but we run specific prenatal classes to work with you throughout your entire pregnancy.

Can I use my Reformer class passes for Tower classes?

Yes, you can use your credit for any of our classes in any of our studios.
